Having a good pair of sunglasses is truly underestimated! UV protection is very important to protecting our eye health from diseases like early cataracts, macular degeneration, and pterygiums. UV light (sunlight) damage is cumulative over our entire lifespan, so even as babies and children are exposed to UV light (sunlight), the damage is starting. We recommend that ALL patients, young or old, wear proper sun protection. You’re going to want to look for 100% UV protection (of UVA and UVB rays) on your sunglasses to know that they offer full protection for your eyes. We offer a large selection of sunglasses that can be worn as is, or can be made into prescription sunglasses. We only carry products we truly believe in the quality of, and so if you think we are missing a few well-known brands in our selection, it might be on purpose and we’d be happy to find you a higher quality option!
